Sexuality in Ancient Greece and Rome


This course is designed to give honours-level students insight into ancient sexuality and categories of gender using primary sources. The wide body of artistic evidence available from the ancient world on this topic (in the form of vase-paintings, sculpture, wall-paintings, and everyday objects) is supplemented by a close reading of literary sources in translation.
